Available Worldwide June 9 on Bongo Boy Records
A remarkable chapter in rock music history comes full circle this June as recording artist Sapphire Star releases her highly anticipated new single, "Diddle Diddy Dee," available worldwide on June 9 through Bongo Boy Records.
Written by award-winning songwriter Gar Francis and produced by Monique Grimme for Sapphire Star Studios and Bongo Boy Records, "Diddle Diddy Dee" carries a unique story that spans more than a decade and pays tribute to one of rock music's most influential eras.
Inspired by "Louie Louie," the iconic hit made famous by the legendary 1960s American rock band, the Kingsmen, "Diddle Diddy Dee" was originally envisioned as a vehicle for the band's unforgettable lead singer, Jack Ely. In 2015, at the request of Gar Francis, producer Monique Grimme personally presented the song to Ely. Tragically, only a few months later, Ely passed away in April 2015 before the project could be completed and recorded.
What might have remained an unfinished musical dream has now been brought to life.
Today, Bongo Boy Records proudly unveils "Diddle Diddy Dee" as a vibrant new recording performed by Sapphire Star and produced by Monique Grimme, who also lends her vocals to the track. Blending vintage rock-and-roll energy with modern production, the song captures the spirit of the classic era while introducing a fresh and contemporary sound.
"This release represents the fulfillment of a musical journey that began years ago," says producer Monique Grimme. "We are honored to bring this song to audiences and celebrate the inspiration behind it while giving it a new life for today's listeners."
Accompanied by a catchy cinematic music video, "Diddle Diddy Dee" delivers an infectious melody, nostalgic charm, and an irresistible rhythm that is sure to resonate with fans of classic rock, retro pop, and modern feel-good music alike.
With its timeless appeal and rich backstory, "Diddle Diddy Dee" stands as both a tribute to rock-and-roll history and an exciting new release destined to capture listeners around the world.
The digital single and official music video will be available beginning June 9 on major streaming platforms and digital music outlets worldwide.
Stay tuned—this is one release you won't want to miss.
Frelinghuysen, NJ— Visionary songwriter, composer, and producer Monique Grimme announces the release of her powerful new single and music video, “Magic of Positivity (Sonic Ritual),” arriving via Bongo Boy Records. The track serves as a defining preview of her upcoming studio album with the same title, offering listeners an immersive sonic experience rooted in empowerment, intention, and spiritual elevation.
Inspired by the timeless wisdom, “Embrace the magic of positivity, it will bring your dreams to life,” the song transcends traditional genre boundaries. Blending ambient worldbeat textures, rhythmic chants, and cinematic production, “Magic of Positivity (Sonic Ritual)” is crafted as both a musical journey and a meditative affirmation.
Written, composed, and produced by Monique Grimme, the track highlights her multidimensional artistry and commitment to creating music with purpose. Her lead vocals guide the listener through a layered soundscape enhanced by the ethereal harmonies of Sapphire Stars Studios, whose backing vocals and chanting choir bring depth and ritualistic energy to the composition featuring Wickliffe Mott.
The accompanying music video, also conceptualized and directed by Grimme, expands the song’s message through symbolic storytelling and striking visual motifs of ancient Egypt. The video marks the premiere appearance of Wickliffe Mott as the male chanter—a mysterious, time-traveler-like presence who appears throughout the narrative as a guiding force. His spoken words echo as a philosophical anchor within the visual journey:
“Your thoughts… are the code…
Your heart… is the guide…
What you give… returns… multiplied.” - Wickliffe Mott
This powerful mantra reinforces the video’s central theme: that consciousness, intention, and emotional alignment shape reality.
“Magic of Positivity (Sonic Ritual)” stands as more than a song—it is an experience designed to uplift, inspire, and awaken the inner power of its audience.

Music That Celebrates Earth Day and Hopes To Unite The Community of Frelinghuysen and Around The Globe.
Monique Grimme’s Tribute to Local Nature and Global Unity.
✨🌿 On Wednesday, 04.22.26, I invite you to gather with me—across the airwaves and into the spirit of the earth—for a virtual celebration of Earth Day.
Together, we’ll honor the quiet magic of Gnome Hollow Preserve in my hometown of Frelinghuysen—a place where whispers of the forest stirred something deep within me. It was there that the seeds were planted… inspiring me to protect the small woodland behind my 1784 homestead, and to bring to life my folk song, “Gnome Hollow.” - Step into the story, the music, and the wonder. 🌲✨
🌏🌳 EARTH – “A song about a woman that escape the noise of modern life to seek solace in an ancient forest. She feels an inexplicable calling-something older than memory itself beckoning her inward.” – songwriter Monique Grimme shares. 🌏🌳
There has always been something elemental at the heart of Monique Grimme‘s music, something that feels connected to the natural world, timeless and intangible; her songs, if not always directly referencing the fauna and flora she sees around her, often reveal a liminal presence of such ecological forces. So it is perhaps natural that her music has gradually moved further away from the melodic rock foundations of her earlier work, finding a natural sonic counterpart in more world-infused sounds and beat-led groove.
“Earth,” her latest single, is where those two strands meet, not only meet, but also merge and manifest perfectly.
Built largely around ancient-sounding rhythm and timeless beat, the track bristles with a ritualistic, almost shamanic quality. The song feels primal, as if drawn from something older than music itself—sound as ceremony, music as invocation. It has the sense of being forged not so much for listening to, but as a kind of offering, a sonic sacrifice to the heart of the planet: Gaia, Tellus, Prithvi, Papatūānuku, or whatever preferred name you give to the force that underpins and sustains the natural world.
The arrangement is spacious, forged not only of groove but grace and a sense of understated grandeur, allowing each percussive element to work together – shuffling shakers, resonant drums, and handclaps building an organic melody as a backdrop. That openness provides the perfect framework and launchpad for Grimme’s striking vocal performance. It’s not just the range or control that she delivers that impresses, but the emotional clarity she brings to the lyrics, sounding, at times, like the sound of something otherworldly, beyond human, that echoes a feeling that lies at the heart of such spaces. This is less a song, more a plea, a prayer, an anthem advocating a return to what we have lost as the modern world swallows it up.
As she explains, the song tells the story of “a woman who escapes the noise of modern life to seek solace in an ancient forest, feeling an inexplicable calling, something older than memory itself beckoning her inward.” Thus, “Earth” is a tale of escape but also a narrative loaded with a sense of reconnection, reflection, and quiet transformation.
“Earth” is less a conventional song and more an experience, one that draws on something deeply rooted, that aches in our soul, that offers a pathway, a portal to a simpler, more connected life, perhaps inviting the listener to do the same.
Frelinghuysen, NJ — April 2026 — Acclaimed songwriter and recording artist Monique Grimme proudly announces the release of her powerful new single and music video, “Make Fear Work For You,” on Bongo Boy Records. The project is a bold and inspiring artistic statement that transforms fear into fuel for personal growth, resilience, and achievement and will be the bonus track on her upcoming album this summer
The official music video made its broadcast premiere on Channel 29 in Portland, Oregon on April 7, 2026, marking an exciting milestone for the release. The video showcases a visually compelling and emotionally driven narrative that aligns with the song’s core message: embracing fear as a catalyst rather than a barrier. The music video shows original film footage from ancient Egypt to show the viewer as a reminder that fear was a functional mechanism—guiding conduct, reinforcing moral caution, and maintaining social stability.
Created in collaboration with Sapphire Star Studios as they provided the beautiful choir, the production elevates the song’s message through cinematic and dynamic visuals. Directed by Monique Grimme herself, the video reflects her multifaceted artistry and vision, blending music, movement, and symbolism into a cohesive and impactful experience.
“Make Fear Work For You” draws inspiration from the intensity, discipline, and courage displayed at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, particularly influenced by the groundbreaking performances of Olympic figure skater Ilia Malinin. His approach to pushing boundaries and redefining excellence and then having fear overcoming him, became a creative spark behind Monique Grimme song’s message of transformation and inner strength, make fear work for you.
“This song is about shifting your relationship with fear,” says Monique Grimme. “Instead of letting it stop you, you can harness it—let it sharpen your focus, elevate your purpose, and propel you forward. Fear can become your greatest ally.”
With its empowering lyrics, cinematic production, and global inspiration, “Make Fear Work For You” stands as a motivational anthem for anyone striving to overcome obstacles and step into their full potential.
The single will be available on all major streaming platforms this month, accompanied by the official music video release across broadcast and digital channels.

"...this new track weaves chart-topping pop vibes with smoky, cinematic Egyptian motifs, ready to spark a fire in your heart and straighten your path to inner victory.
Self-described as being ‘a bold and inspiring artistic statement that transforms fear into fuel for personal growth, resilience and achievement,’ Make Fear Work For You was inspired by the fearless determination of Olympic figure skater, Ilia Malinin
Pinned down by a charging beat and crowned with soaring vocals serving pure resilience, confidence, and indomitable spirit, this is a track to blast when you’re in the mood to dance your way through your sorrows, incinerate your negative energy, and embrace your inner vibrance with a royal aura. It’s invigorating, intriguingly quirky, and an absolute earworm designed to get you through your day.
"With each new release, Grimme continues to evolve. What began within the familiar contours of pop-rock is steadily, and often quite boldly, shifting into more adventurous and, as here, more globally infused territory. With this latest single, she embraces a richer sonic palette, moving beyond convention into something far more distinctive, far more unique."
"Lyrically, the song blends modern world language with a message that is ultimately timeless. While its origins may lie in that very specific inspiration, its core idea of confronting fear and turning it into a driving determination is something we can all relate to, or at least, wish we could adopt for ourselves. As the vocals seem to drift across the lone and level sands, we are empowered by this simple idea lying at the heart of the song."

I probably said as much when I put pen to paper for Monique Grimme‘s previous single, “Honey Gold,” but having established herself with a signature, sophisticated sound built where poised pop and elegant rock meet and merge, she already seems happy to leave that behind and head into more sonically adventurous climes. And if that were the case with the previous release, it is doubly so with “I Will Be Alright.”
The sense of sophistication and texture is still present, but this song seems to take a turn into more exotic quarters, grooving on almost Afro-beat vibes and shot through with stunning and soulful choral salvos. The switch between Grimme’s powerful yet solo deliveries and the sonic roar of the mass vocals gives the song its unique dynamic, at turns quiet or anthemic, a voice in the wilderness or full-throated majesty, sometimes reflective, always defiant.
And even though Monique Grimme is able to find inspiration all around her, this song comes from the most unlikely of places. Following a Zoom conversation with Fab Morvan, one-half of the pop duo Milli Vanilli, and hearing his unwavering quest to realise his dreams, the idea for the song was born.
“I Will Be Alright” is, Monique Grimme explains, “both a tribute to Fab Morvan’s inspiring journey and an anthem for dreamers everywhere. The single is dedicated to those who refuse to let go of their aspirations, echoing [his] resilience and his message of hope”.
Few, I suspect, could listen to the song and not come away from it empowered, uplifted, and inspired by its energy. A blend of driving pop groove and neo-classical grace, the sweeping ranks of voices reminiscent of Karl Jenkins orchestral work, and an ability to move between isolation and euphoria, “I Will Be Alright” is perhaps Monique Grimme’s most surprising and sophisticated song to date.
Monique Grimme’s latest single – I Will Be Alright – blends cinematic pop with a compelling story of positivity and perseverance. Crafted in collaboration with Sapphire Star Studios, the singer-songwriter and label owner of Bongo Boy Records conjures an atmosphere that feels as if the legendary Hans Zimmer joined forces with an early-career Rihanna; upbeat and punchy pop atmospheres lined by choirs, grit, and a phenomenally driven spirit, flitting between tenderness and a contagious sense of personal power.
Hints of Jess Glynn and Florence + The Machine emerge through rich and soulful vocals, while the official music video fleshes out the track’s soul-cleansing themes of recovery, evolution, and indomitable strength.
But what does it all mean? And from where was inspiration drawn? The answer might surprise you…
I Will Be Alright was conceptualised after Monique Grimme finalised a Zoom call with one half of Milli Vanilli – Fab Morvan. After reflecting on the star’s personal journey, resilience, and deathless sense of optimism in the face of the group’s 90s lip-sync scandal, Monique re-routed Fab’s personal mantra, “I will be alright,” to form the backbone of her new single.
As Monique tells us herself, “I Will Be Alright is both a tribute to Fab Morvan’s inspiring journey and an anthem for dreamers everywhere. The single is dedicated to those who refuse to let go of their aspirations, echoing Morvan’s resilience and his message of hope.”
The idea is executed perfectly; Monique’s brand new track is a testament to willpower and unbreakable self-belief, from its lyrics to its soundscape, right through to its vibrant vocal delivery. Our verdict? Highly Recommended.

After establishing herself as someone who can spin more sophisticated rock sounds and folk imagery into songs that are at once atmospheric and elemental, this latest one from Monique Grimme takes a turn into, perhaps, less expected soundscapes. While there is enough of her signature sound – space and subtlety, a heady mix of groove and grace – to be found in “Honey Gold,” it also offers a more soulful and Latin-influenced experience.
As the guitar licks create a delicate structure, the beats head for Southern American climes and the rhythms blend pop contagion with Bossa Nova sass, we are cocooned in a heady mix of Latin moves and infectious grooves. But, of course, it goes beyond being that to, thanks to clever dynamics that build into brilliant brass stabs and hushed late-night vibes, eventually delivering anthemic vocal crescendos and an uplifting sonic payoff. more than the sum of its apparent parts, for sure.
But what does it all mean? Well, anyone who has been paying close attention to her music to date will know that whilst one obvious story plays out on the surface of the lyrics, another, more metaphorical and even philosophical one runs below.
Honey, as we all know, is both a sweet consumable delight and an affectionate name for those people who deliver its emotional equivalent in life. But, she astutely reasons, why is it all too often those that we adorn with such a loving nickname, the ones who often end up causing us the most heartache?
So, as the music sweeps and sashays us around life’s dance floor, as we move deftly and delicately with that image of the perfect partner, as it snakes seductively, carrying us away in its infectious charms, we are reminded that looks can be deceiving, feelings manipulated, and that not everyone is always who they appear.
It’s a cool move on the part of Monique Grimme, having established her prowess as a maker of a very eloquent and elegant pop-rock sound, a tempered and tempting blend of energy and artistry, accessibility and infectiousness, we now find her weaving her way across the more contemporary and pop-infused corner of the Latin ballroom, a gorgeous blend of dance tradition and pop futures!
Brassy and beautiful, sensual and sensational, subtly yet wonderfully revealing, a slow-burning journey from intimate confessions to universal truths, “Honey Gold” is not only warm and welcoming but also a deep and meaningful coming together of Latin-pop punch and heartfelt poignancy!
Bongo Boy Records label owner and singer-songwriter Monique Grimme is welcoming the new season with a fresh new single – Honey Gold – a Bossa Nova jam “infused with warmth and soul,” capturing the sweet dangers of romantic craving.
It’s all pinned down by the peculiar duality which Monique Grimme finds in honey. It’s not just a sticky-sweet substance, but a pet name for loved ones who may not be as sweet as we first imagined. Monique draws on honey’s odd complexities and nuances to craft her lyrics, painting the pitfalls of love in an amber light: “You can’t have the sugar without the salt / If I get stung, it’s my own damned fault.”
This track comes wrapped with buttery vocals, delivered with a vibe that’s both fierce and summer-cool; as Monique serves fans the femme fetale edge of a lady waking up to the fact that love tastes more like sour sherbet than syrup.
A chart-topping instrumental aesthetic leads the show: clean and sultry pop sparkling with Latin grooves and smooth R&B inspirations, and an explosive chorus which has listeners fighting the urge to dance along, all perfected in a short 2-minute, 30-second run time which leaves us begging for an instant replay.
It’s a summer-ready hit in our opinion, leaving us with one final verdict: Highly recommended.

It is this gentle juggling of the melodic and meaningful, that deft footwork between balladic beauty and soaring crescendo, those vocals that run from a hushed, intimate whisper to sonic highs, and the interplay between personal experience and timeless storytelling that make this such a rich and rewarding experience.
And timeless is the right word. Ancient cultures saw water as a gateway into other worlds, and so it is only right that even in contemporary times, we see it as a mirror for different versions of ourself, that image gazing back being less a reflection of our present self and more an version of who we want to be, and who we might, and indeed can, be from now on.
Although in the past, I have likened Monique’s brand of music to such stalwarts as Stevie Nicks, and there is certainly still an element of that in the more upbeat songs, I would say that “Staring Into Water” is the song where she throws off any easy reference points and emerges as an artist with a sound and style, not to mention a feeling and vibe, all of her own.
"lead vocals serving suspense and awe-flushed beauty as Monique’s lyrics paint a scene of reflection, delivered through her title’s metaphor. Her chorus strikes with an air of a Florence + The Machine hit: bold, brave, and adventurous as the vocalist belts a story of personal progression and relief from tragedy, making sense of the chaos of the past."
